Since I last blogged till today, I was too busy with work - left early for work and came back home late almost everyday.
Many things have happened worth noting:
1. My car's air-conditioning went bonkers when we balik kampung some time ago. Had spent RM600 to change the air-con's compressor in Alor Gajah but the stooopid mechanic had to be sooo stupid to disconnect my car's battery so that he can fix his torch light. When the battery was reconnected, my car's security system locked the car down. The system immobilised my car and the alarm was blaring non-stop. I cannot start the car and worst still, it was Saturday evening. After calling several Peugeot 24-hour helpline, finally the Seremban center provided troubleshooting techniques over the phone and my car could start and move again. But the alarm has now gone bonkers and always immobolised my car if the right disarming technique was not followed. This problem is still not solved to date. One good outcome from this is, no one can drive the car away even if I left the car's door open. Without the original key which has a chip in it and the alarm activation control, the car is immobilised. Mafiz, I know how you feel. I feel like selling this car and buy the new 407 but I will never be able to fork out the dosh for it without having to eat just grass everyday.
My Peugeot getting a new air-con compressor. Notice the wire for his torchlight connected to my car's battery.
Peugeot 407 - the car I'm salivating to buy. RM160k. Ouch!2. The first ever time I crashed my Zephyr was 3 weeks ago. It wasn't really a bad crash because I was only doing less than 2 km/h trying to negotiate a muddy spot on the road but the rear tyre slipped and the bike just skidded then crashed. I was not hurt at all because I was fully equipped with gloves, jeans and riding boots. But my worst nightmare happened - my beloved wife was actually with me (had 4 previous crashes on my own on separate bikes - more on this below). Yanti was just wearing sandals at that time so her left toe and the upper part of her toe (meta tarsal) was wounded quite badly. Pictures later. Kesian my sweetheart. Her wound is healing but still hasn't fully recovered as of this writing. I feel so guilty. :(
Wife, bike and wound after crash.

The crash wound - kesian my darling.Come to think of it, I have owned 5 bikes and I have crashed all of them except one:
a.
Honda C70 : 1992 - crashed badly and had to sell off the bike after the accident. I flew off like a superman after hitting a large hole in the road and landed chin first. I tore my chin and had 6 stitches in UH to get it fixed. So much blood and almost fainted after the accident.
b.
Kawasaki Max 100 : 1995 - 1999, used while in university. Never crashed. Sold the bike to my uncle after started working.
c.
Modenas Jaguh 175 : 1999 - 2001, 2 minor crashes - hit the rear of a van once because the van braked suddenly, and another crash was hitting a Honda Civic's front tyre and fender because the car switched lanes suddenly. Just blue blacks. Bike sold to go overseas.
d.
Kawasaki ZZR500 : 2003 - 2005. Major crash while overtaking a car because the car suddenly turned right while I was overtaking it. Hit the right side of the Satria at about 60km/h and was flung into the air and rolled about 10 metres on the tarmac. Thankfully well suited for riding so only minor scrathes and bruises . Threw away torn gloves and jacket and kept crashed helmet in the store. Bike repaired with insurance claim of RM6500 + RM1500 my own money, bought better helmet, new gloves, new armoured riding jacket but the same riding boots. Bike sold 6 months later to a shop. The shop made it a racing bike in Penang, I was informed.
e.
Kawasaki Zephyr 750. The latest crash story.
3. After that crash, eventhough the bike was not spoilt in any way, I sent it for a full overhaul and repainting. I just feel like wasting money on it. Just do it and think about paying later.
My Zephyr - skeleton bike. Should be ready by mid or end April.4. While my bike was in the workshop, I borrowed Ruslan's Suzuki DR800 (the one that he crashed but has been repaired) to commute to work. Last Thursday, that bike's CDI gave way which means it's engine will not run. I was stranded in NKVE for 3 hours until the lorry came to pick the bike up to be sent to the workshop as well.
5. Lyana's birthday party was done last weekend. Sorry guys, not that I don't want to invite you but I was not in-charge of the invitation list. Our children's future parties will definitely include you, Insya Allah.
Lyana and other kids at the cake to blow the 2 candles.
