romp to Frasers - NOT!

The plan was grand... 3 bikes with 1 pillion rider all the way up to Frasers Hill - that was the first plan when we decided to ride on Friday, 19 Jan, because we got a replacement day for Awal Muharram that fell on Saturday, 20 Jan.

However, the night before, Ruslan sent an sms to all of us informing of the cancelled plan and we should go swimming instead. Poor Halim who didn't get to read the sms was waiting by the highway at 7.30am.

Then we schemed and planned another ride to Frasers Hill on Saturday, 27 Jan. This time it will be only 2 bikes, Ruslan and mine, with Halim and Eugene as pillions. The plan was good to go - rendezvous at Projet Glenmarie at 7am. However the night before, Eugene backed out because he had other plans - had to do his yoga thingy.

At 6.45am Saturday morning, I left my house to meet Ruslan at Projet and to my suprise he was already there when I arrived at 7.03am. We then sped to Sungai Buloh using the Guthrie Highway. The road was empty and I managed to touch 204km/h on my bike... and Ruslan was near me. He said he touched about 200km/h too - his first time ever on his bike!

In a matter of minutes we reached Sungai Buloh to pick-up Halim at a masjid. However, Halim came with his CR-V instead and didn't bring his helmet nor jacket... tak dapat lesen dari menteri dalam rumah.

Plan scrapped - again. Haiyaa.... Maybe next time, when Halim gets his new bike. :)

We then had breakfast in Sungai Buloh instead and then sped back home. Grabbed my swimming gear and off to swim.

let's go to the zoo...

.... there are lots of things to do...

The last time I went to Zoo Negara when I was dating with Yanti (hehe... what a place to bring your fiancee, huh?).

Two kids later, we decided to see the animals to check if they can still remember us. Lyana was thrilled to see the actual animals that she usually saw on TV or read in her books. Aneesa liked the noisy animals cause it attracted her attention. :)

The kids loved the deers - they are so tame.

I pity some of these animals who I believe should be set free in their real habitat - kesian.

fishy business

I like fish. I like to catch them, eat them, look at them and take care of them. Of course, all these fishy categories involve different species of fishes.

Obviously I would catch and eat edible ones, look at nice ones during scuba dives, in aquariums and on telly or in books. I can sit to look at the fishes for hours.

One of my hobbies (apart from riding bikes, of course) is to maintain an aquarium. This hobby started since I bought an aquarium in 2003. The hobby has been maintained until we moved to Shah Alam where I put the aquarium to rest (not permanently) and started a small pond.

Recently, I've put the pond to rest instead and revived my aquarium. Lyana and Aneesa have followed in my steps in adoring fishes. Two days ago, I saw a baby guppy swimming in the tank.. I was so happy! More fishes, please. :)

31 years young

I guess turning 31 is not as monumentous as turning 30 for me. Just another year, that is.

Thank you for the fabulous birthday gift, Sayang. I've been dying to get my hands (or rather legs) on these boots.
