Dearest Lyana, Aneesa and Haryz,
Abah is blogging this so that you can reminisce this vacation trip in future.
Mama and Abah thought it was time for another vacation, so on 12 - 14 Aug 09, we took leave from work and borrowed Nenek's CRV for a road trip to this nice place Mama have been wanting to go - Tanjung Jara Resort, Terengganu.
It was a long drive following a map Abah downloaded from GoogleMap. We had to borrow Nenek's car so that all of you can play, watch DVD and lie down at the back of the car. Abah and Mama took turns driving because it was far - we decided not to fly because it would take equally the same time and besides, the H1N1 virus has been on a rampant spread. We finally reached the resort at about 4pm after 6 hours travel.

After checking in, we were brought to our room by a French guy, who was on training there.
Here's the view of the room before all of you turned it upside down. Hehe.

This is the bed Lyana and Aneesa slept in.

Abah, Mama and Haryz slept here. Look, there's even a cot for Haryz. Nice.

This is the bathroom.

Because you were all so restless and wanted activity, Mama decided you can play in the bathtub, so that we can rest for awhile - besides the sun was still high at hot outside.

Our room is on the top-left - view from outside.

Later at around 6.30pm, we went to the beach. Of course all of you enjoyed playing with the sand. We then bathed in the sea, which was very clear but had lots of drifting seaweeds.

Yeay!

After that we headed to the other side of the resort to look around.

The resort rooms were built in a very serene environment and in traditional Malay architechture. Very nice.

At the farther side of the resort, there was a restaurant and a pool. So what do we do when we see a pool, kids?

After a quick washdown to clean ourselves from the sand...

...in we go.

Some nice setting.

This is the entrance to the spa.
The next day, Abah went out for a jog and bought some breakfast. But first, Abah went to take some pictures of the nice resort.

Abah manage to capture this beautiful sunrise picture.

The Spa

After having some nasi dagang and nasi kunyit for breakfast, we headed out to Kuala Terengganu. Abah will post another blog on our trip there after this.
Here is some view of the resort at night:
At the entrance to the lobby. Notice the big gong there? When we arrived the day before, the gong was beaten to annouce our arrival. Then, men wearing baju Melayu greeted us and assisted us unloading our luggage.
View of another pool and the pool restaurant at night. This pool is near our room but kids are not allowed in because it was very deep.
We headed out for dinner that night to Dungun.
At night, the resort turned up to be a very beautiful place, with nice lighting.

This hallway again - now with nice lighting at night.
This too.
The next day, it was time to go. We had breakfast in the "Di Tepi Sungei" restaurant, (yes, Abah like to repeat it because it had an old-fashioned feel to its spelling, hehe).
Haryz obviously was playing more than eating.
This was Abah's breakfast - trying to eat as healthy as possible. Yummy!
One last time at our room before we checked out. Mama said this is the nicest room ever compared to the other places we went. Abah said of course, the price was the 'nicest' too. :p
But it was certainly worth it. :)
A nice wooden carving at the reception counter.
Group photo before we headed home.
After reaching Nenek's house, we had travelled a total of 1,043km. Abah hope everyone enjoyed the vacation trip... including you, Sayang.
Love always,
Abah
