Finally, after more than 10 years since we last met as a group, we managed to pull together some of those who could make it to our long overdue class reunion.

We did it in Restoran Tasik Indah, Shah Alam. Seafood was on the menu. :)

As planned, the postponed sports day was held in the following week in the Section 7, Platinum park. The weather was good that day. All came - even bibi Ipah and nenek.

picnic in sepang gold coast

The kids have been asking again and again for me to take them swimming. Normally I would take them to the pool but I had a suprise for them. :)

"Kids, we are going to the beach for a picnic!" I said. "YAAAAYY!!!" was the response followed by jumping and screaming with glee. Hehe, I love this. :)

When we got there, both Yanti and me were ignored. Their favourite activity at the beach was playing with the sand. We weren't complaining, of course, and spent the time lazing in the breeze.

It was Lyana and Aneesa's school sports day in Stadium Mini Shah Alam. Too bad it rained heavily from about 10am in the morning and didn't stop even at noon when we decided to go home - it was postponed. Kesian the kids. :(

Anyway, Lyana managed to perform and Aneesa participated in the march by. Cute!

Alhamdulillah, my bike has finally arrived home. :) Can't wait to ride it long distance.

new balance 15km run - 2010

The 2008 NB15km run was deemed as my official "pecah dara" event where I ventured forth beyond 10km distance. Back then, my timing was like 2hr 28mins and my legs cramped like crazy - I also came in very late and was placed at 481/483 in the Men's Open Category. Haha.

In NB15km 2009, I only improved by 4 minutes to finish at 2hr 24 mins. :p

But this year, I have improved much more and I'm happy with my performance. Maybe its due to the route change, but most likely the last 10 days of running 30mins on the treadmill helped.

My stats:
Time = 2hr 9min
AvgHR = 179 bpm
MaxHR = 196 bpm
Energy = 2309 kcal
AvgSpeed = 7.5km/h
MaxSpeed = 12.8km/h

my new ride

The time has come to collect my new bike, the Kawasaki Z1000, after waiting for what feels like eternity in bike speed time (2 minggu aje sebenarnya).

It all started when I read that Kawasaki was going to revamp the Z1000. It was in the bike magazines since late last year so when it finally arrived in Malaysian shores in March 2010, I definitely had to check it out to see the bike in person.

Lo and behold, not just the bike's specification is impressive, the bike is actually impressive too in the skin. The "ready-to-pounce" stance of the bike and the aggressive styling makes me want to ride it already. And so, I made-up my mind that this is certainly the bike that I must have to upgrade from my Z750.

Then the rest is history. 2 weeks ago, I traded-in my old bike for this new one.

Here are pictures of my old bike next to the new one, a day before my bike collection day when I sent Ruslan to get his bike on Friday after work.




The next day, Ruslan fetched me at home to collect my bike in Kapar. I have to say that I was very-very excited. Hehe. Thanks to Haji Ruslan, my moments of elation had been captured on picture.


I looked like a kid who just got his first bicycle (but only this time its with a 1000cc engine - Yeehhaa!)


After signing the papers and making necessary payments, I am the new proud owner of the beast.

Currently running-in of the engine will be limited to 4,000 rpm only for the first 800km, which equeled to a bike speed of 90km/h... how sad - even the kapcai's are overtaking me. :p

Then the next 801 to 1600km, the bike's engine speed will be limited to 6,000 rpm according to the user manual - otherwise there would be risk of a broken down engine... and I don't want that.

So, have to take it easy for now. Sabar... sabar...
